Cory Simpson is a native Virginian and has been growing roots in Richmond for well over a decade with his wife Jessica and their six children. Cory has a B.S. in Business Management from Liberty University, a Master’s of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate of Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has over a decade of higher education finance experience including cash forecast modeling and endowment and debt management.
The Maker Institute is where he is able to combine his unique finance experience, love for theology and the good gifts that God has bestowed to help His people in word, deed, and visual arts.
Cory is passionate about making finance practical, making it a space for all to understand and flourish. He is excited to bring his expertise and mirth to the Maker Institute. When he is not crunching the numbers he enjoys hiking and fishing with his family, cooking, and reading by a fire.
